I would like to talk to someone

We recognise that living with dementia can be really difficult and can cause a range of emotions, reactions and may potentially impact on relationships. A diagnosis of dementia is not something you plan for, and coming to terms with these changes means adjusting your plans for the future.  If you, or a family member or friend, are living with dementia we are here to help you.

Often individuals can experience a range of feelings including anger, sadness, frustration, uncertainty and a fear about the future.  However people living with dementia have expressed how beneficial having someone to talk through these feelings can be.

Having a dementia specialist to provide information, to help you understand dementia, what to expect, and practical advice and support to help you live well with dementia can provide you with great support and help reduce the impact of the dementia.

Alzheimer’s WA can offer you a range of programs that you and your and families may find extremely useful. Click the links below to learn more about each program.
