This year, we will once again hold our annual fundraising event, the Walk to Remember. The walk will be held on 4 December at Victoria Gardens in East Perth and you can register for it now.
For event day information please click here.
The walk begins at 9.00am and you can register anytime until then. This year, children under 12 walk free.
Once registered, you will be given your very own MyCause fundraising page. From there, you can set up your fundraising goal, upload photos, and explain your reason behind participating in the Walk to Remember.
In addition, we’re also looking for volunteers to help us out on the day of the event. Whether it’s taking down registrations, helping out along the walking route or greeting participants on arrival, this year’s event will be as rewarding and fun as it always has been. Just click the link here to express your interest and we’ll be in touch.
Once your page is set up, we encourage you to share the URL link on social media or email it to friends, family, and colleagues. You can even apply Walk to Remember content to your own socials such as profile pictures, cover photos and email footers. All of which can be found here.
You can also donate directly to Alzheimer’s WA by using Donorbox.
Take the time to thank all of your supporters, no matter the size of their donation. People like to be acknowledged and it allows you an opportunity to keep them updated on your progress.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask the same people more than once. You might find a potential donor who didn’t see your original post or message.
Every dollar you raise helps ensure we are always here for those living with dementia.
