Alzheimer’s WA Celebrates our Volunteers

National Volunteer’s Week was an opportunity for Alzheimer’s WA to acknowledge, recognise and show our appreciation to our inspiring volunteers for the important work that they do.

Alzheimer’s WA celebrated our wonderful volunteers in each of our locations for their generous contribution of their time, experience, and talent demonstrating kindness to the most vulnerable in our communities.

Our CEO, Ella Dachs spoke about the passion and compassion of our volunteers and their willingness to selflessly contribute to others which is a testament to their strength as people go through a journey of extraordinary change.

The theme for National Volunteer’s Week in 2023 is Change Maker. Volunteers epitomise change, by making a difference and having a powerful impact supporting individuals who are most vulnerable in our communities across our nation.

It is because of their help that we are able to fulfill our objectives at Alzheimer’s WA and deliver the person-cantered care we are best known for.

Ms. Dachs acknowledged Volunteering WA and Lotterywest for providing financial support to today’s morning tea. Our sincere thanks to our Board of Directors, particularly Board Chair Professor Warren Harding for his tireless contribution to Alzheimer’s WA.

Thank you to all those who made the morning memorable!
