Stay connected while distancing

Keeping up social connections is vital for maintaining wellbeing, now more than ever before. As we continue to practice social distancing and stay at home it is easy to feel disconnected and alone, and the damaging impact of social isolation is emerging as a great cause for concern.

In the absence of face-to-face connection with family and friends, try some of these alternatives:

  • Video call family and friends using Skype or FaceTime. Try setting up a regular time each week to stay in contact.
  • Make a phone call!
  • Connect through social media such as Facebook and Instagram.
  • Set up a family group chat on WhatsApp.
  • Share photos and videos via email.
  • Write letters to your grandkids.
  • Arrange to have ‘physical distancing’ drinks with your neighbours, in your own driveways.

If you need a hand, a break, or just a friendly face to chat to, we have introduced a number of new services to support you and your loved one at home during this time. Please call 1300 66 77 88 and we can talk through the various options with you.
