Off The Grid for Alzheimer’s WA
Off The Grid 365 is excited to be partnering with Alzheimer’s WA in their efforts to raise funds for the 41,630 Western Australians living with dementia. The events and challenges on offer throughout September’s Dementia Awareness Month, have been created so there is something for everyone. There are a variety of walk distances and locations, challenges and adventures as well as family friendly activities on offer.
Walk to Remember
Walk with Alzheimer’s WA in support of the 42,900 people living with dementia in Western Australia and every dollar raised will help us ensure no one faces dementia alone.
So grab your comfiest pair of walking shoes and join Alzheimer’s WA at one of our Walk to Remember events.
Families and Friends course
This one day course is suitable for people who know or care for a person with dementia (not suitable for people with a diagnosis of dementia). It is designed to give an understanding of dementia, what happens to a person when they develop dementia and how to communicate with and support a person with dementia.
Adjusting to Change program
The Adjusting to Change Program provides relevant information, emotional support and practical assistance for people in the early stage of dementia and their support person (family member or friend).
