Alzheimer’s WA welcomes new Chair and Deputy Chair

Warren Harding

Warren Harding, Chair, Alzheimer’s WA

Alzheimer’s WA welcomes new Chair, Mr Warren Harding, and Deputy Chair, Dr Sean Maher, of the Alzheimer’s WA Board.

Mr Harding has been appointed Chair of the Board after Mr Craig Masarei’s retirement from the position after 22 years on the Board and 19 years as Chair.

Alzheimer’s WA provides a vital lifeline for Western Australians living with dementia. Mr Harding is honoured to be leading the Board to ensure Alzheimer’s WA remains focussed on improving the lives of people living with dementia through our dedicated staff and volunteers.

Alzheimer’s WA will soon release its new growth and collaboration strategic agenda to ensure it can continue to advocate and support the ever increasing number of Western Australians living with dementia through broader relationships, better research translation into assistive technology, new models of care and care settings.

This is a critical time for the aged care and disability sectors to have a voice in changes in new Federal funding models as well as changing client expectations and preparing for recommendations from the Royal Commissions.

We thank Mr Masarei for his service

Mr Masarei leaves a significant legacy of his 22 years of outstanding voluntary service and his personal commitment to raising awareness of dementia in our community. His dedicated service has been highly regarded nationally and by international dementia organisations. He has been a true Ambassador.

The Board has recognised the significant and lasting impact of service by awarding Mr Masarei with the highest acknowledgment of contribution to Alzheimer’s WA in the form of Honorary Life Membership of Alzheimer’s WA.

We invite you to leave a message of thanks to Mr Masarei below
