Consultant


Position Summary:

Alzheimer’s WA are a seeking suitably experienced and qualified Consultant to guide and support our specialist dementia care capacity building programs as well as undertake project work supporting our initiatives to develop better community responses to dementia.

As an experienced practitioner you will be required to:

  • Coordinate programs and collaborate with specialist interdisciplinary communities that involve Alzheimer’s WA staff, external organisations, specialist consultants, and research partners
  • Deliver Leadership, relationship management, and professional capabilities in dementia and person centred care
  • Provide expert guidance incorporating culturally appropriate tools and practices where necessary, to the communities, sector partners, and program providers (local, state, and national)
  • Demonstrate putting people and community at the heart of collaborative development.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social sciences or human services field and/or extensive experience in a similar role;
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence;
  • Experience in implementing projects and initiatives;
  • Experience in consultation methods and a partnership approach to service delivery;
  • Knowledge of and experience in health/aged/community care sector in WA
  • Current Police Clearance (not more than 6 months old) and driver’s license;
  • NDIS Worker Screening;
  • COVID Vaccination;
  • WA ‘C’ class driver’s license;
  • Working rights in Australia

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with regional providers;
  • Experience working with people living with dementia and their carers;
  • Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment;
  • Certificate IV in Dementia Practice or higher dementia qualification;
  • Experience in project evaluation
