A dedicated group of people have taken their love of wine and horses and created a charity ride and auction, with proceeds donated to support those living with dementia.
This year the Wine and Horses team raised over $37,000, bringing the total they have raised over the last four years to more than $100,000.
The most recent charity ride event took place over the weekend of 7 and 8 October in the Avon Valley. More than 120 people and horses participated in the ride. Participants chose between a 50km or 100km ride, with an overnight camp at Avon Valley Equestrian Centre in Northam.
A charity auction was also held on Saturday 7 October in Northam. Hundreds of items were donated including accommodation and restaurant vouchers, equestrian supplies, beauty vouchers, jewellery and a holiday to Broome.
Many thanks to the Wine and Horses team for their continued support of Alzheimer’s WA.
