Resident of the Great Southern region bequests $1 million to Alzheimer’s WA

Resident of the Great Southern region bequests $1 million to Alzheimer’s WAThe late Don Brandenburg, a resident of the Great Southern, bequeathed part of his estate for the wellbeing of older people in the region. Apart from donations to other local organisations, the trustees of the estate bequeathed $1,000,000 to Alzheimer’s WA, which will allow additional respite facilities to be developed in Albany. Hawthorn House, located in Henry Street, Albany, has been providing services to people living with dementia in the Great Southern since 1993.

All of the staff at Alzheimer’s WA are humbled by this incredible donation and wish to thank the Brandenburg family for their generosity.
