LoveFest Perth – an invitation for people with dementia and their families

Elderly lady with dementia kisses young boy on his foreheadLoveFest Perth brings together people with dementia, their families and service providers to build support for creating dementia friendly communities and services. It does this by focusing on the importance of love in the lives of people living with dementia.

LoveFest Perth presents a Festival; a day of presentations and workshops by people with dementia, their families and friends, to highlight the importance of human connection.

LoveFest Perth also features an Exhibition of photographs of local people with dementia kissing someone they love. The Exhibition is part of a collection of portraits called ‘The Kiss’ by Lisa White, The Social Photographer.

People with dementia and their families are invited to:

  • Share personal stories about dementia and love. The call for speakers at the Festival closes at the end of March.
  • Have your photo taken for The Kiss Exhibition. The photoshoot will take place on 26 April 2018.
  • Attend the Festival. Registration is free for people living with dementia and their families. The Festival will take place on 3 May 2018 at the City of Melville Civic Centre.
  • View The Kiss Exhibition. The Exhibition will be at Garden City Shopping Centre from 2 – 16 May 2018.
