As a result of their decision to exit from the Home and Community Care (HACC) service, the City of Subiaco recently found they had two buses they no longer required. Rather than sell the buses, the City decided to go out to tender and gift the buses to organisations that could best demonstrate a benefit to the local community.
Alzheimer’s WA was one of the organisations who successfully tendered for a bus. The other successful group, Voiceworks, run a local choir program based out of Subiaco.
The bus will significantly increase Alzheimer’s WA’s ability to offer transport options to clients. The 10 seater bus will be used to transport clients, carers and support staff to and from Mary Chester House, and to attend excursions and support groups.
Our thanks to the City of Subiaco for their generous gift. We are very grateful and excited to be able to offer more transport options to our clients at Mary Chester House.
